  1. Share your interests.

Tell us about your skills, general availability, and the kind of contribution you’d like to make.

  2. Discuss the possibilities.

Ask about current needs, location, time commitment, accessibility, and any role-specific requirements.

  3. Confirm the next step.

Agree on a role and any preparation with the team before starting. Submitting interest does not confirm a placement.

Lead with respect.

Listen without judgment. Respect each person’s privacy and choices. Be reliable, communicate clearly, and work within the responsibilities agreed with the team. Every contribution should support veterans’ dignity and independence.

Questions before volunteering?

Do I need to be a veteran?

Our peer support model centers veterans’ lived experience. If you haven’t served, you can still express interest in contributing other skills. The team can discuss whether there is an appropriate opportunity.

How much time do I need to commit?

Share what is realistic for you, whether occasional availability or a regular commitment. Schedules and commitments need to be confirmed for each opportunity.

Can my workplace or community group get involved?

Use the interest form to introduce your group, its skills, and general availability. Group activities and partnership opportunities must be discussed with the team in advance.

Are training or background checks required?

Requirements depend on the role. Ask the team about orientation, screening, qualifications, age requirements, and supervision before committing. Do not send identification or screening documents through this interest form.

Can I ask about accessibility or remote opportunities?

Yes. Share your preferences and any accommodations you would like to discuss. The team can clarify what is possible for the opportunities available.
