  1. Tell us what you need.

Share a brief description of the support you’re looking for and your city or area.

  2. Choose how to stay in touch.

Provide a safe way for the team to contact you. Mention any communication or accessibility needs.

  3. Explore possible next steps.

The goal is to identify resources that fit your situation. Services and eligibility depend on the program or provider.

Before you reach out

I’m not sure which support I need. Can I still reach out?

Yes. Describe what is most difficult right now in your own words. You don’t need to know the name of a program to start a conversation.

Can I ask about help for a veteran I know?

You can ask about resources for a family member or someone you support. Use your own contact information and avoid sharing another person’s private details without their permission.

Should I send documents with my first message?

A brief overview is enough to start. Do not include Social Security numbers, medical records, financial information, or copies of identification in this form.

Does a request guarantee housing or services?

No. A request starts a conversation about possible resources. Housing, benefits, appointments, and other services depend on eligibility, availability, and the organizations providing them.
